'Per Aspera Ad Astra' means 'Through Hardship To The Stars' in Latin. It is one of my favourite adages and seems an appropriate sentiment in these times. I love the macro shot here showing the beauty of the warm gold ink and die-stamped printing process, an ancient intaglio printing technique that embosses the design from an engraved copper plate. This piece is exceptionally pretty in real life; I don't think anybody will be disappointed with it in the flesh.
